Event Description
The 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) will be held on November 11th. Why is climate change closely related to everyone? How much do you know about the 'dual carbon' target? What was the experience of studying environmental economics at Berkeley? I am honored to invite Larry Guo( Yuntian Guo), who is studying Environmental Economics at the University of California, Berkeley, to share his profound insights with us.
On the day of the event,Larry Guo discussed climate change from the perspectives of economics, climatology, oceanography, and other disciplines, allowing the audience to have a deeper understanding of climate change and gain a lot of unprecedented knowledge! Through scientific data analysis, it can be seen that climate change action still has a long way to go. If no measures are taken, the global average temperature may rise by more than 6 degrees Celsius compared to before the Industrial Revolution; Even if the world fulfills its climate change commitments, the lag effect will still cause global temperatures to slowly rise.
This event has drawn more attention to climate change issues.
