China-europe Institute of Clean and Renewable Energy, Huazhong University of Science and Technology China Europe Energy Institute (ICARE) is a non-profit, non-independent legal person Sino-foreign cooperative higher education institution established in accordance with the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Education. It is an important part of the China-Eu Higher education Cooperation platform under the follow-up plan of the China-Eu High-level People-to-People Dialogue Mechanism. It is the first important cooperation project between Chinese and EU governments in the field of engineering education cooperation, and has been praised as a model and flagship project of China-Eu higher education cooperation by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. At present, 12 key universities from 6 countries are involved in supporting the operation of the college. In March 2012, the school was approved by the Ministry of Education of China and officially launched its activities to carry out postgraduate 3+0 education, non-academic training and scientific research in the field of clean and renewable energy. As a Chinese-foreign cooperative education institution offering exclusively the major of new energy science and engineering in China, the college aims to train high-quality talents engaged in the future global energy field and provide talent support for the establishment of a sustainable, environmentally friendly and efficient energy industry in our country. At present, the College has become an important window for China's energy engineering education to face Europe. It has established long-term cooperative relations with the University of Oxford and other European famous universities, strengthened the cooperation with the first-class European engineering education universities, and promoted the cooperation and exchange of education and research in the field of energy and environment between China and Europe.
