AboutECHO is a climate education program based in Beijing, China. Its mission is to support high school students and vulnerable children in exploring climate and environmental knowledge, leading them to take practical actions to address global issues. In the summer of 2023, we led a group of nine high school students to visit three Chinese enterprises, where they learned about the companies' climate actions. Our student leader also participated in creating a "Zero-waste Artwork," using scrap and second-hand jeans to make a portrait of Professor Aldo Leopold, an American ecologist and environmentalist. Showcasing our work at this year's Climate Week is the starting point for inspiring us to move forward. Looking ahead, we aspire to welcome more enterprises and NGOs to join us in collectively empowering more students and indigenous children for future environmental actions.
