Event Description
The meeting is an interactive session between youths and some senior citizens of the community on climate change. The aim of the discussion is to bridge the knowledge gap on climate issues from both an indigenous knowledge perspective and the modern-day knowledge on climate change. In rural settings, indigenous knowledge plays a vital role because of the demographics which include low levels and exposure to advance the technology. The group will also discuss mitigation and adaptation strategies that could be adopted from an agricultural, health, environmental perspectives. The group will also be required to finally commit themselves to a call to action over the current climate situation. Together we seek to preserve the past whilst sustaining the future. We only have one home and one earth. Together we are the Earth's defenders!!
