Event Description

The Lebanon Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) 2024 is a hybrid event organized by UNICEF Lebanon and Youth Climate Advocates to empower young people to take meaningful climate action. Bringing together over 100 participants in person and more than 80 virtually from the MENA region and beyond, the conference focuses on collaboration, policy advocacy, and climate education.

As a member of the Youth Climate Advocates at UNICEF, I am proud to contribute to initiatives such as the MounakhY ED program, the launch of the Youth Climate Council (YCC), and the development of the 2024 Youth Climate Manifesto, which outlines actionable goals for youth-led climate governance. The event emphasizes inclusivity and aims to align local efforts with global climate commitments, such as COP29.
